How many photos wedding photographer provide

Hello guys. This is Paul from Tara Weddings, and today I want to tell you how many wedding photos you can expect from your wedding. As you know, we shoot digital. And digital means that we don’t have film. And not having film allows us to shoot as many photos as we like. So during the day, we’re not standing there counting one, two, three photos here, one, two, three, four, five photos here. No, we’re just like, okay this is amazing. And this is amazing. And this is amazing. And you’re shooting. You’re shooting close up, all the time.

So, usually from the wedding day, we will end up with around 2000 photos, 3000 photos. It all depends on how busy your wedding is. So if your wedding will have lots of performances, speeches, things that will happen, you can expect more. But if your wedding is just people sitting there, eating, doing nothing, because nobody likes when we take photos of them eating food. Not too good. In this case, you may expect a little bit less. But overall, it’s around a few thousand photos that we have from everybody.

Then, our editors, they handle the photos. They’re like, hmm, this one is good, this one is good, and this one is not. This one is good, this one is good, this one is not, this is not. So they select the photos that actually look well, without any kind of closed eyes, shaky ones, [inaudible 00:01:07] “Oh wow, sir, I took a picture No, I didn’t do this.” So all the photos that are the good ones, they go to the selection. Then we apply the colors to all the photos. polish them up, and while polishing we can just delete some more photos from this selection, if they’re copies of the same photos from a little bit later, or something like this.

And usually, these edited photos, it’s around 800 photos. We can select a little bit more, or a little bit less. It all depends. But roughly, I would say from 700 to 1200 photos you can expect from the full day wedding. If it’s a shorter wedding, you will get less. And usually, I would say it’s around 70-100 photos per hour of the coverage. This is the average amount of the wedding photos that we submit to our clients. And usually this is enough.

In cases when people want just all our footage from the wedding, we also put all the files on the cloud and we give a link to this folder to our clients, so they can have everything that we got from the wedding. And usually I tell them, “Okay, these photos, some of them may be darker, some of them may be shaky, some of them may be. whatever, because we’re all humans. We cannot just take perfect shots every time, because it’s not possible. It’s not a film set, it’s a live event with the different lights, with the different colors, different situations and so on. So if they want to see everything, let them see.

Our job is to make this adequate selection enough, so everybody, every situation, will be in this edited, and edited them in a way that people like, that people love, and that people want to actually get from us.
